Sometimes, through no fault of our own, or because we have momentary issues of vacancies in the cerebral department, we wake to find no sheets on the bed and our jeans around our ankles. True story. Other times, we cannot, after having searched and searched, find the dress of our dreams or invitations to suit our event...This brings me to two amazing artists. And one hilarious story.
The first is a lovely, petite Englishwoman with an enormous, vanguard chic. Her name - Caren Templet. She's just returned from fashion week and she is more inspired than ever. So much so that she will be exposing her own fashion house on the runways in New York City next year aside the other greats. She designs couture; clothing and bridal! We interviewed her for a dress. She is all about "out of the box," while maintaining vogue, beauty and femininity. But the most outstanding thing about her is that she sees beauty in every woman regardless of race, class, color and/or most importantly size. She will take your vision and personify it. She wants you to feel beautiful and she is extremely emphatic about making your dress dreams come true. She gives every woman a little piece of power. Take a look -
Caren Templet.
The next is
Julia's Poppies Designs. If you want really special invitations for your wedding look to this design house based out of Atlanta. The designs are fresh, different and fun. They maintain a certain whimsy that is spectacular. Jamie is a self proclaimed "eclectic, passionate, hippie-at heart who was born to create" and it shows in everything that she creates from her designs on invitations to her "Wow worthy" blog!
And finally, that unusual, though thoroughly amusing story I mentioned earlier in the post. This story came via
Snippet and Ink and Kathryn got it from
Cup of Jo and it came originally from
Refinery 29. It is most unusual but should probably be characterized by it's moxie! It's a strange roommate request. Warning...lot's of profanity...if you're sensitive...
Crazy Craigslist Roommate Request!
I think YOU wrote that Craigslist posting. Seriously, it sounds just like you "...or I don't have to talk to you at all." That is WICKEDLY funny, I sat in my office laughing out loud like a crazy woman. Best. Craigslist. Post. Ever.
ReplyDeleteOh! I am so glad you liked it! It killed me when I first read it and now -after the 50th time, it still gets me with a cramped face! Thanks for reading, Amy!
