My Sister's Beautiful Wedding

My sister, as I've said before has always been enviable. She is beautiful, funny, uber smart and intense. She also happens to be a style maven and before weddings were WEDDINGS! she pioneered a substantial and gorgeous event of her own. She designed her wedding in 2004 and as such there were no "Wedding Blogs" as there are today. And magazines were good but more limited than they are today. Like I said, "WEDDINGS!"

I love these photos. They are, regrettably, photos of photos because tragically, Marissa's wedding photographer passed away. So we have no access to the originals. She's pretty sad about it too.

The event was held on May 7th, 2004 at Serrano Country Club. Her dress is Ramona Kaveza and it was a gorgeous gown with box pleats at the hem and the top of the bodice. Highlights were that their first dance was a choreographed waltz which was romantic and lovely. And her colors - tiffany blue, peach and off white.

Here favors (I wish I had a picture) were hand rolled paper cones filled with dried lavender that guests were asked to keep or throw at the couple upon their leaving. It was a stunning event.

See for yourself...
