Favors

Good Morning Brides and Grooms!

Christmas is upon us and I know I should be wrapping presents and planning the Christmas dinner menu, but I just can't stop thinking about favors.

I recently got in a heated debate about the importance of favors. They are not there to serve simply as a pretty table decoration or to be a charm that people don't care about. They are meant to be a heartfelt "Thank You" from the newlyweds.

I once attended a wedding where the groom was a professional poker player. The bride tirelessly enveloped lottery tickets for everyone. It was a great tie in for the couple and I won $2.00. Clearly it was memorable and so much more clever than the age old boxed truffles.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with boxed truffles but if you'd like to represent yourselves and your families in an equally affordable but more sophisticated, more clever way why not try something much less expected?

I know a bride whose color palette is soft pinks, sage greens, periwinkle and so on. It'd be lovely if she did perhaps a candy in the same color as the peonies in her flower arrangement. Some rose caramels, maybe? With Calabasas Candy Company you can find all kinds of interesting candies.

Of course, Calabasas Candy Company is a small artisanal candy company that makes this type of favor so much more clever than the average favor. Just look at those Lemon Zest Caramels! Calabasas has amazing things - Cranberry Caramels, Heart Shaped Truffle Sampler and Chocolate Covered Caramels. Go See!

You don't need to have a sugar centric favor, however. Anyone who knows me, knows I love the View Master. Remember that old photo viewer you had when you were a kid? Now you can customize that thing! It's not just stills from Disney's Cinderella anymore! I love the View Master so much in fact that I am looking at it proudly displayed as an ornament on the Christmas Tree right now as I type!

The coolest thing about the View Master here is that it is customizable! And the best thing about Image 3D is that this is all they do! They are what you call, "experts!"

And, for the budget conscious, eco-chic couple why not fruit with sweet sweet tags?  Easy and very affordable. Three Little Finches specializes in Wedding Favors.

Bonus! When you buy products from these and other vendors like them you are supporting a network of fine artisanal crafts people and spreading the word about the treasure box that is Etsy
