Real Wedding Wednesday - "Now this is Something!"

Sometimes a wedding comes along that is more "something" then anything else, for lack of exclamation!  For instance, I saw a tiny mouse in a tiny tutu recently in an Etsy shop called Felt by Liza and said to myself, "That is so cute..." but, really, it was cuter than cute. Later that afternoon, I showed my mother the same wee mouse in a tutu and she exclaimed, "Now this is "something!" We laughed and loved this little mouse so much but had no real words to express the sweetness of it!

The following wedding is the same! I first came upon it on Green Wedding Shoes nearly a year ago and kept it under my pillow until now.  There is such magic and mysticism in the photos by The Brothers Wright. This wedding in Cayucous, California is a true seaside, woodland fairy fete! This celebration at The Cass House Inn is magic in every way. From the sincerity and whimsy of the day to the handmade boutonniere's, floral arrangements and centerpieces, made by the brides mother. And the bride herself is such an artisan! She made all the fairy crowns for the bridesmaids, the toadstool and the entire paper suite.

My friend Anna saw this wedding as well and emailed the link to me. Her subject line was spot on,

"Ummmm...Talk About Mirth!!!"

And bonus! The groom, Brian, surprised the bride, Maisie, with a super 8 film from Flicker Films!

  1. Oh my! How strange and wonderful. I've never seen a wedding quite like this before. I feel like I'm looking right into a fairy tale. So whimsical! You're right, it really is "something!"
